What we do

Four things, done properly.

Sanding & refinishing

Three-grit sequence down to raw wood, then a finish system matched to how the room actually gets used.

Custom staining

Natural, walnut, ebony, or a color matched to your trim. Always sampled on your own boards first.

Repairs & board weaving

Water damage, pet stains, radiator cut-outs, and missing planks woven in so the patch disappears.

New installation

Solid and engineered hardwood, wide plank, herringbone — installed, sanded, and finished in one crew.

The Berzenski way

The same two hands on every floor.

Randy Berzenski's father started the business in 1972, and Randy Berzenski took the reins in 2009. Today it's still a small family crew — no subcontractors, no rotating faces in your house. The person who quotes your floor is the person who sands it.

  • Furniture moved and doorways sealed before a single machine runs
  • Vacuum-shrouded equipment, HEPA filtration, containment zippers
  • Low-VOC finishes safe for kids and pets once cured
  • Written estimate honored, even if the job runs long

Process

From estimate to cured finish.

01

Walkthrough & estimate

We measure every room, read the grain and old finish, and hand you a flat written price. No pressure, no surprise line items.

02

Dust-contained sanding

Vacuum-shrouded drum and edge sanders pull 98% of the dust straight out of the room, through three abrasive grits down to bare, level wood.

03

Stain & finish

Sample boards on your own floor before we commit. Then two to three coats of waterborne or oil-modified finish, buffed between coats.

04

Cure & walk-through

Light foot traffic in 24 hours, furniture back in a few days. We return to inspect the cured floor with you.
